Read GitHub PAT expiry directly from the same Copilot endpoint used by BurningTokens. Finite tokens show real days remaining. PATs with no expiry header are treated as no-expiry instead of fake countdown numbers.

Quick PAT Recipe

How to Create or Renew your PAT

Use your HP enterprise GitHub account only. BurningTokens only needs the copilot scope.

Open Settings GitHub Settings → Developer settings

Choose token type Personal access tokens → Tokens (classic)

Generate a PAT Click Generate new token (classic)

Set expiry At least 90 days, ideally 180 days if policy allows

Check only what you need Keep the permissions minimal for BurningTokens.
Enable copilot
Leave unchecked repo, workflow, gist, notifications, read:org, admin and write scopes
